Today is a very big day for Viper; we have decided to remove temporary and permanent bans from our network.
Instead, we are introducing a brand new system to be intertwined with the content of our server called Viper's Jail. Instead of breaking rules and being permanently or temporarily banned and excluded from the server, rule breakers will now be sent directly to Viper's Jail where they can work to remove their sentence, or simply wait it out.
In the Jail, you can mine coal to earn Jail Credits that can be saved up to purchase a Get out of Jail card. Once you gather enough Jail Credits and purchase this card, you will be released from Jail.
To access the Jail Shop, you can type "/jail shop", or you can walk up to the security guard located by the cells. To remove your first sentence and escape the Jail, you will need a total of 3,000 credits. For repeat offenders, the price of a Get out of Jail card will increase by 750 credits for each offense (capped at 10,500 total) Your total amount of credits are displayed on the scoreboard and in the shop.
Specifically, Jail Credits can be obtained by mining 5 coal ore, or on our store. Coal ores are scattered around the Jail in the open, and they also regenerate upon being mined. There are anti-afk, scripting, and botting measures in place to ensure good diligence.
We hope this change will add a positive change to our server by allowing players to make up for rule breaking within our content!
